The “L” stands for Long, giving the XN18-L an impressive 2,417 mm digging depth, making it ideal for trenching, landscaping, drainage, stump removal, general excavation and working around properties.
The XN18-L has been designed with durability and operator safety in mind. Internally routed hydraulic hoses help protect important lines from damage, while upside-down boom cylinder protection helps protect the chrome rods from accidental damage on the job.
The machine features a rigid underbody designed to provide excellent stability while keeping the excavator compact enough to access tighter work areas.
The three track rollers per side help keep the tracks properly supported and reduce the likelihood of track derailment during operation.
A built-in grease track tensioner also makes routine track maintenance simple and convenient.
The combination of the Kubota D902 engine and smooth hydraulic system gives the XN18-L the power and control needed for demanding excavation work.
The swing boom allows the operator to work around buildings, fences, gardens and other delicate areas with greater precision, while the smooth hydraulic controls make it easier to place the bucket exactly where you need it.

The Rhinoceros XN18-L is a compact 1.8-tonne mini excavator designed for excavation, trenching, landscaping, drainage, stump removal and general construction work. The “L” stands for Long, with the machine providing a maximum digging depth of 2,417 mm, giving it additional reach for trenching and excavation around properties.
Powered by a Japanese Kubota D902 3-cylinder diesel engine, the XN18-L combines a compact footprint with a smooth hydraulic system and a range of features designed for practical day-to-day operation.
The machine features a swing boom for working alongside buildings, fences and other obstacles, while its compact tail design and 360° slew provide good access and positioning in confined work areas.
The XN18-L features internally routed hydraulic hoses, helping protect hydraulic lines from external damage while working around structures, vegetation and other obstacles.
The main lifting hydraulic cylinder is mounted on top of the boom, with cylinder protection designed to reduce the risk of damage to the chrome rod during excavation work.
A variable-displacement piston pump provides a working flow of approximately 39.6 L/min, supporting smooth operation across excavation and auxiliary hydraulic applications.
The swing boom allows the attachment to be positioned to the side of the machine, making it easier to excavate alongside buildings, fences, gardens and other obstacles without needing to reposition the entire excavator.
