Description

The 12-8 Rhinoceros is a compact, capable excavator built for contractors, landscapers, earthworkers and property owners who need serious digging power without the size of a full-size machine.

Powered by the proven Kubota D722 3-cylinder diesel engine, the 12-8 delivers dependable performance, excellent fuel economy and the durability needed for everyday work. Its compact design makes it easy to manoeuvre around tight access points, while the swing boom gives you greater flexibility when digging alongside buildings, fences and other obstacles.

The machine features expandable tracks and adjustable blade, extensions allowing the width to be adjusted from 800 mm to 954 mm. Keep it narrow when getting through restricted access, then widen it out when you need additional stability on uneven ground.

For added protection, the front boom is fitted with a reinforced cylinder guard, helping shield the hydraulic cylinder from rocks, dirt and accidental impacts when working in tougher conditions.

Attachment changes are quick and straightforward with the included heavy-duty spring quick hitch, fitted with a safety locking clip for secure attachment. The hydraulic thumb adds even more versatility, making it easier to handle logs, rocks, rubble and other materials. The machine is also ready to run a wide range of attachments including buckets, augers and rock breakers.

Operator comfort hasn’t been overlooked. The 12-8 features a forklift-style wraparound seat, retractable seatbelt, ergonomic controls and foldable ROPS, giving the operator a comfortable and practical working position. The conveniently positioned throttle makes it easy to adjust engine speed while operating.

Underneath, heavy-duty rubber tracks and three track rollers per side provide reliable track support and stability across a variety of ground conditions. A bright LED work light improves visibility when working early mornings, late afternoons or in poorly lit areas.

The cooling system features an aluminium radiator and hydraulic oil cooler, helping keep the engine and hydraulic system operating at the correct temperature during extended periods of work.

Maintenance is kept simple with easy-access service panels, giving you quick access to key components for routine checks, servicing and repairs.
